Wendy Grantham is an American actress and singer. She guest stars as Shardene Innes in first, second, & fifth seasons. She has appeared in The Wire creator David Simon's other series Homicide: Life on the Street. She has also appeared in the film Emmet's Mark.
Biography[]
Grantham is a graduate of Harvard University, where she earned a B.A. majoring in English and American literature.
Grantham's first film credit was an an intern on the Spike Lee joint Crooklyn. She had an uncredited role in the season 7 Homicide: Life on the Street episode "Just an Old Fashioned Love Song" as Carrie Coleman. She worked alongside The Wire cast members Peter Gerety, Clark Johnson, Toni Lewis, Maria Broom and Callie Thorne and crew members Leslie Libman, Alex Zakrzewski, David Simon and Ivan J. Fonesca on the episode.
She appeared in the film Emmet's Mark as a young officer in records alongside several of her The Wire co-stars including John Doman, Christopher Mann and Franklin Ojeda Smith.
She is primarily a professional singer and is involved in the Philadelphia-based performance art collective Key Arts Productions.
