Wendell Pierce, born December 8, 1963 in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, is an actor. He stars as Bunk Moreland in first, second, third, fourth, & fifth seasons. He has appeared in The Wire creator David Simon's subsequent series Treme. He has appeared in the films It Could Happen to You (1994), Ray (2004), and Horrible Bosses (2011).

Pierce has appeared in the HBO films productions Life Support and Strapped.

He also played a crooked policeman on Third Watch named Conrad "Candyman" Jones.

An interview with him is part of Spike Lee's 2006 HBO documentary When the Levees Broke, regarding the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

He also appeared in Spike Lee's 1996 movie, "GET ON THE BUS".

Pierce appeared in the 2006 horror movie Stay Alive.
