The Wire

Ed Bianchi is an American film and television director. He was a regular director for The Wire across the first three seasons of the show. He helmed four episodes from 2002 to 2004.

Biography[]

Bianchi worked with The Wire producers on their earlier series Homicide: Life on the Street. He directed two episodes of Homicide. He reunited with many of the Homicide team as a regular director for the short lived crime drama The Beat in 2000.

Bianchi directed the first season episode "The Wire". He returned to direct the first two episodes of the second season in 2003 - "Ebb Tide" and "Collateral Damage". He directed the third season premiere "Time After Time" in 2004 which was his final work on the series. He has also worked on the HBO series Deadwood, John From Cincinatti and Boardwalk Empire.
