DeShawn and Monell murdered "Pookie" and were seen fleeing the scene of the crime. Detective William "Bunk" Moreland interrogated him and made him believe Monell confessed and that copy machine was a lie detector. DeShawn confessed to being an accomplice to "Pookie"'s murder.[1]
