David Costabile

David Costabile, born on January 9, 1967 in Washington, District of Columbia, USA, is an actor. He had a recurring role in the fifth season of The Wire as Thomas Klebanow, the managing editor of the Baltimore Sun newspaper. He is known for his roles in Billions, Breaking Bad and Lincoln (2012). He has also appeared in the series Damages and Flight of the Conchords. He has been married to Eliza Baldi since June 25, 2012. They have two children.

Biography[]

He played the scientist Gale Boetticher in Breaking Bad. His character was an apprentice to the main character Walter White in the series. He reprised the role in the spin-off series Better Call Saul.

He played the long-suffering husband of the band's only fan in Flight of the Conchords.

He appeared in the film The Post (2017) as Art Buchwald. Like the fifth season of The Wire the film also focuses on the workings of a print newspaper.

He played corrupt police detective Rick Messer in Damages. He initially appeared as an unnamed antagonist in the first season of the show. His character's identity was revealed when he reprised the role in later seasons.

He has had a starring role in Billions as Mike "Wags" Wagner throughout the show's run.
