Damages is a legal thriller that airs on FX. It stars Glenn Close as high stakes litigator and leader of her own law firm, Patty Hewes and Rose Byrne as a newcomer to Patty's cause, Ellen Parsons. The show premiered on July 24, 2007 and finished its second season on April 1, 2009.
In the first season, Marlyne Afflack, who played the role of City Council President Nerese Campbell in The Wire, appears multiple times as attorney Felicia Marquand. David Costabile played Detective Rick Messer and was Managing Editor Thomas Klebanow on The Wire. The show's second season also had multiple Wire veterans. John Doman played Walter Kendrick and William Rawls on The Wire. Clarke Peters played Dave Pell and Lester Freamon on The Wire.
